Total process in one pass

MultiSort utilises a unique embedded software package that automatically scans mailpieces to the final route in a single pass workflow. The built-in OCR system reads the receiver's address block using the customised address database down to street level detail. A certified in-line scale determines the individual weight of each item and combines this with other required data. The in-line label printer applies an individual label on each mailpiece for track and trace purposes. Connected stacker sections then sort the mail into designated pockets without the need for manual handling - you simply scan the mail and the system will sort it to its final destination.

Quick to set-up and easy-to-use

Its compact footprint allows a quick set-up and go operation and is ergonomically designed to yield high productivity for operators.

The system is extremely operator friendly in two ways: First, MultiSort operates in a consolidated work cell, centralising operations to maximise productivity. Second, training is quick and easy - on average, first time operators are up to speed and running the system within 15 minutes. This makes MultiSort and ideal solution for companies with flexible personnel requirements.

Mailpiece integrity

As a semi-automated solution, the MultiSort is designed to ensure mail integrity through territory designation assignments. The system outputs a unique mailing label featuring indicia, tracking bar code, unique piece ID, endorsement and proprietary sorting codes for each mailpiece. Labels are printed with clear sort information allowing operators to easily identify the correct destination bin for each item.

The system also creates a routing report which summarises piece counts and package destinations for rapid containerisation and labelling.
